Growing up in the small town of Mammoth Lakes, California, the mountain scenery has been the main influence for Jody's art. Trees, foliage, water, rocks and the detail of life's rich colors and texture are her inspiration and passion.

Through high school, she was fortunate to have been taught many different mediums such as acrylic, oil and watercolor painting, pen and ink, pencil, charcoal and pastel drawing as well as sculpting clay and making pottery. When she graduated high school, she started a business creating commercial signs and decorative sandblasted glass. After a couple of years, Jody moved to the San Diego area. She continued her business, creating a partnership and was very successful for a number of years.

Desiring to be back in the mountains, Jody sold the business to her partner and moved with her family to a small town in the Los Padres National Forest, North of Los Angeles.

Currently, she has a thriving business creating hand-painted, Custom Murals commissioned for clients and Fine Art pieces that are available to purchase.
